Lamborghini Enters the World of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs)

The unique NFT is a physical object which connects to a unique digital artwork, accessible via an QR code on the back. The project is a limited edition and will be auctioned off in the next few weeks.

After numerous social media posts teasing something that was space-related, the Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini launched its non-fungible (NFT) tokens through an exclusive initiative dubbed Space Key. Created in collaboration with an unidentified artist and artist, the NFT is a collector's item that will be auctioned off in just a few weeks. The digital artwork

After months of social media posts that hinted at it, luxury automobile manufacturer Lamborghini has finally announced its first non-fungible token (NFT) project. Called the Space Key, it consists of five items that unlock an exclusive digital artwork created by a yet-to-be-identified artist. The collectors' item was developed in collaboration with NFTPRO(tm) and is limited to just five units. It will be auctioned off soon.

The core of each Space Key is a block of advanced carbon fire composite material that was shipped to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research program. After returning to Earth, the block was inscribed with a QR code that links to the digital element within the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys will feature a separate moment that occurs seconds apart as the Lamborghini Ultimae lifts off toward the stars. Each of the five images was captured by photographer Fabian Oefner and contains over 600 million pixels.

Oefner used a balloon equipped with a camera to capture each of the individual shots which were then combined into the final image. The result is an amazing out of the world image that reveals the beauty of the Earth and the futuristic, hyper-realistic picture of the lambo car key rising away from it. The Space Keys are going to be auctioned soon, but there isn't a specific date or location as of yet.

The auction

The auctions will take place from February 1 until February 4. They will last 75 hours and 50 minutes - the time it took Apollo 11 for him to leave Earth and enter Lunar orbit. By enrolling online, you'll be able to bid on the five NFTs. Each NFT will be auctioned off separately and the winner will receive a digital artwork by renowned photographer Fabian Oefner that captures five different moments that the Space Key experienced during its journey through space.
