Another feature that is great is the reversible seat, which allows you to change the direction the child's face is. The reclining seat offers both back and head support, so your child can rest comfortably in their seat or carrycot. Claire also liked the spacious shopping basket that can be accessed with the carrycot or seat unit in all positions and can hold a whole packet of nappies as well as a change bag!

The Xplory X is a top-quality pram from Stokke and is suitable from birth. It comes with the chassis, a Pushchair Pram 2 In 1 seat and a lie-flat carrycot but other accessories such as the rain cover need to be purchased separately. It's an excellent choice for those who love the look of a modern Scandinavian-designed pram with a unique and functional frame that lets you interact closely with your baby.

This sweet doll pram from Mamas & Papas is perfect to encourage role-playing and to stimulate imagination. Its realistic features include a rain hood with a removable design, a handy under seat shopping basket, and a co-ordinated changing bag. It's perfect for cruising around the house or even going for a stroll to the park! This would make a great addition to the toys collection of any child and is also a thoughtful present for Christmas or birthdays.

4. Thule Shine

The Shine stroller comes from a brand that is known for its stylish, practical products. It's one of the lightest strollers available on the market, and it feels sturdy and robust to hold, despite its sleek design. It's also extremely versatile, and can be used from birth thanks to the accessories that come with it which transform it into a bassinet, Newborn Inlay, or Newborn Nest and a Maxi Cosi car seat adapter (accessories are sold separately).

The Shine isn't like other lightweight strollers in terms of cargo storage. The 22-pound capacity of the Shine allows you to carry everything you need for a day trip without worrying about leaving anything behind.

It's also simple to put together with the back wheels clipping on to the main frame right out of the box. The bassinet is also simple to put together and has handles similar to those on the Moses basket. The durability of Thule's strollers is legendary and I've seen them put to the test at the Thule Hillerstop headquarters in Sweden. They drop prams from high places and then slam them down slopes, and then run them over bumpy tracks in the snow to test their durability and strength. They certainly look nice!
