The Nikon Z 8 will be equipped with the image sensor and image processing engine of the Z 9, and will have a body like the Z 6II and Z 7II, rather than a vertical grip-integrated type like the Z 9. The resolution of the EVF and LCD monitor will be improved, and the EVF in particular should be better than the Z 9. Attention will be focused on whether the LCD monitor will be a tilt type like the Z 9 or a vari-angle type. The recording media is expected to be a double slot for CFexpress Type B. It would be great if the double slots for Type B were realized on a body that does not have a vertical grip. Video will be 8K/60p, the same as the Z9 after the firmware update. Similarly, the pre-capture function added in the firmware update will also be installed. The question is the continuous shooting capability, and it will be interesting to see whether it will be about 20 frames per second like the Z 9, or whether this will be downgraded. The question is the price, but Nikon may have a strategic price. In other words, it will be less than 500,000 yen, and will be in the mid-400,000 yen range. Or it could be bold and around 400,000 yen. It is unlikely to be announced within this month, but we will see what happens.
