"April review and May plans"

Today is Showa Day and the start of Golden Week.
Since I retired, Golden Week doesn't really matter to me. I still have work, so the only time I get into the Golden Week mood is when I see crowded public transport on the TV news and think, Oh, it's Golden Week.
What comes to mind when you hear Showa?
→ I was born in the Showa era, so I'm completely immersed in it.
Looking back, I feel nostalgic for the Showa era, when everything was analog.
But now I'm really realizing that analog wasn't so bad after all.
Well, April is about to pass by in the blink of an eye.
・ A look back at April
《Theater Record》
- Star Troupe "Le Rouge et le Noir" @ Tokyo, Japan Youth Hall, 1 performance
- Cosmos Troupe "Casino Royale" @ Takarazuka Grand Theater, 1 performance
- Snow Troupe "Lilac's Dream Path + Jewel de Paris" @ Takarazuka Grand Theater, 1 performance
For Star Troupe "The Red and the Black," I went to Japan Youth Hall for the first time in a while. I only knew the old, outdated Youth Hall, so I was surprised at how completely transformed it had been.
There was a lot of talk about the Tokyo Olympics, and I feel like I benefited from it.
As expected, the final touching scene of Cosmos Troupe "Casino Royale" was great, fitting for the retirement performance of the top pair.
However, I do feel that it would have been better if they had done a double bill of a play and a show, and that's a bit of a regret.
I've only seen the Yuki-gumi "Lilac" once, but for me it was a bit cramped because the story wasn't that exciting, but the show was great and made up for that. (I'm planning to see it once more at the Grand Theater and once more at Toho, so my impression may change)
I also saw the entire Star-gumi duo and "Casino Royale" live. The farewell show was outstandingly cool, and I think it's no exaggeration to say it was the best farewell show I've ever seen.
May Schedule
《Planned performances》
- Flower-gumi "Battlefield for two" @ Umeda Arts Theater 3 times
- Snow-gumi "Lilac's Dream Road + Jewel de Paris" @ Takarazuka Grand Theater 1 time
I'm looking forward to the Masazuka world in "Battlefield for two" for the first time in a while. I can't wait for the show at the Yuki-gumi performance.
《Train-hopping plans》
- I'm planning a trip around the Kii Peninsula. The Shinkansen takes about 50 minutes between Osaka and Nagoya, but it takes 8 hours and 30 minutes by changing trains on the Kisei Line and two limited express trains.
Well, only true enthusiasts would do something like this. I'm following in the footsteps of the limited express Kuroshio, which used to run between Tennoji and Nagoya in 9 hours. It's a return to the Showa era.
Now, I'm planning a train trip around the Kii Peninsula in May, and a trip to see the Takarazuka Revue and riding JR East trains in June, and I've found the best friend to reserve train seats for those trips.
This is the train formation and seat number chart 2023 published by Kotsu Shimbunsha. (Purchased on Amazon for 2,930 yen)
It arrived this morning.
I opened it right away and was surprised by the amount of information.
The formation and seat number chart of the Kuroshio that I will be taking on my trip around the Kii Peninsula.
This is the formation and seat number chart of the Nanki (Shingu to Nagoya).
This is it! , it's the epitome of mania, or rather, only the most dedicated maniacs would be happy to see something like this.
But for train enthusiasts, this information is dubious.
Even the main scenery from the train window is written in detail, even the window positions. Wow, I never get bored of looking at this.
With the timetable and this train formation and seat number chart, I could spend all day long =lol=
This is the formation and seat number chart of the Inaho train running from Niigata to Akita on the Uetsu Main Line that I will be riding on during my JR East train trip in June.
I'll have to sit on the left side of the train to see the view of the Sea of Japan.
