Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet mess (spills and staining) in one session without the need to switch out devices. They can also help save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot must be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments and an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

You could, for instance request the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and its smart navigation technology are superb and the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only issue is that the robot vacuums that mop tends to hit walls and objects at full speed. However looking at the cleaning history on the app will reveal exactly what the robot has accomplished, where it's going, and which obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.

You can view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is clearly laid out and is easy to comprehend although we would like to be able distinguish between a mop only vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when looking at a clean area in the cleaning history.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot mop and vacuum. It will then automatically alter its direction and clean them without skipping a beat.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek angular design is striking and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which resumes the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child-lock, and a home-button to bring the robot vacuum cleaner reviews to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties, and the bin is auto-filling.

The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, track battery life and component maintenance. You'll need to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering the performance otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

It can be controlled through the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is easy to use and intuitive and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are easy to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, see mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features that make it a great choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It also can detect whether the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and alert you to the situation before it overflows.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive models available and comes with numerous extra features that set it apart. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature of its mop, utilizes two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirty spots.

The mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is a great feature because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen in other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.

There are plenty of options, including the option to schedule cleanings and change preferences. The app lets you define these preferences, or use the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has a lot of options for customising the cleaning routine. It's a bit heavier than the other two-in-1 robots on this list - at 4kg but it's not too heavy, and it feels robust and well built. Mopping is well designed, and the double rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice feature.
