Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills, staining) in one go without having to swap out devices. They can also reduce space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.

A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bins and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads from a dedicated dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual will have you running in no time. It comes with a full dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can mops up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops spin at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments and a user-friendly application that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For instance, you could choose to have the robot do a deep clean in the living and kitchen but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and its smart navigation technology are superb, with the robot being capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. The only drawback is that the robot tends to crash into walls and objects at a high speed. However looking at the history of cleaning in the app will reveal exactly what the robot accomplished, where it's going, and which obstacles he has run into or avoided.

A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance jobs are required like emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time as well, with the mop being able to operate for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. 2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuum and mop is the most recent version. The model of this year features a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This improves the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pick up small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners might be unable to pick up.

Like the other two Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes dual cameras that can detect objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It can then automatically change its path and clean them without missing a beat.

It's the most expensive model I've tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek, angular style is attractive and it has just three physical buttons: the power button, that also resumes cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to bring the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin automatically refills.

The only negative I discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if needed) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these advanced features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's life. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to enable voice control with this model which is a pity considering how well it performs otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 best robot cleaner vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with its innovative features, top suction power and advanced mowing abilities. Its smart design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while saving time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful alternatives available. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is user-friendly and simple to use, and the X40's smart features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, look at floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress and notify you when it is finished.

This is significantly higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can clean pet hair and smaller dirt particles - and also pick up spills and wet spots.

The mop is also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This is a fantastic feature since it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a system has yet to be seen on other best robot cleaner automatic vacuum and mop and mop models and could be a good way of keeping your home clean for longer.
