WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade items increases the level of an item by +3. A random additional substat is also increased with each upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the requirement to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item used for the upgrade item will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your equipment. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.

The cost of upgrading will depend on the current level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than buying new gear from other sources. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade item weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased from NPCs of item upgraders for various currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor using the help of button, which will display an image of the item at the next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the item slot and current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers, for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of Flightstones or crests that are used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain level it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

item level upgrade upgraders can be found at many locations on the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon and the possibility of obtaining an entirely new recipe. The discount for upgrades increases according to the number of items being upgraded. It can also be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only accessible via a variety of ways. This is both a positive and an issue.

In Season 3 the upgrade system was altered a bit, with several new features added. When a player has an upgrade to a certain Item Level Upgrade level for a particular armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level will cost less even when they belong to an entirely different set of gear.

The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is reduced too, but it is only available once certain milestones are achieved.

Crests

Players have a variety of options for upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

First, you should know that the crests can only be purchased for gear of a certain rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and easiest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, contingent on the kind of gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through working through tasks at the appropriate level. This could be done by engaging in outdoor activities or completing dungeons and raids in any difficulty to earn lower-level gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons that have a high difficulty to obtain endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.

Using these new currencies isn't too difficult however, the system introduces some modifications to the upgrade process. For example, once an item reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This change lets players upgrade their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests in a wise manner, as they are only used for one purpose. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the top-quality equipment you can locate, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character, which will only be able to benefit from the account-wide discount when all of the slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
